The RN Educator is responsible for overseeing the unskilled educational programs, and education materials, skills validation and competencies for field staff of the home health agency. Assist with conducting supervision of all unskilled caregivers. Act as coordinator for family caregiver program in Florida with the potential to support family caregiver services for entire agency.  
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provides educational support to all unskilled personnel, including but not limited to creating new educational programs.  
  • Prepares unskilled personnel by providing training classes, mentoring, and clinical evaluations in the home.  
  • Observes the participant’s performance, and coordinates orientation to home environment. 
  • Remain current in all unlicensed personnel and nursing assistant current skills and practice laws in the home care setting. 
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.   
  • Assists with conducting annual competencies of unskilled personnel. 
  • Assigns and tracks annual in-services of unskilled personnel.

Education and Experience: 
  • Be a registered nurse and a qualified licensed professional. 
  • Have at least two years of nursing experience. 
  • Have at least one year of pediatric nursing experience &/or home health. 
  • Educator &/or supervisor experience preferred. 
Special Requirements: 
  • A valid Florida state registered nursing (RN) license is required, nurse compact license preferred. 
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred. 
  • Must have excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
Physical Requirements:
  • Transport equipment including but not limited to simulation dolls, and miscellaneous teaching supplies.  
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, bend, walk, reach, and lift with hands and arms.  
Work Environment:
  • Work routinely operates in a training lab setting which consists of an interactive and lecture learning environment.  
  • Must be comfortable with teaching over camera in virtual platform when not in classroom. 
  • Work occasionally operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, mobile devices, phones, photocopiers, and cloud file systems.  
Travel: 
  • Travel is common, and availability must be fluid.  
  • Some out-of-the-area travel is expected.
