We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for our corporate office in Eatontown, NJ.  The Payroll Specialist will report to the Payroll Director and is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll.

Responsibilities of Position
1. Ensures accurate payroll deductions for employee contributions, including insurance and garnishments
2. Assists with processing year-end information, including W-2s
3. Supports accurate processing, reconciliation, and recordkeeping of multi-state payroll
4. Resolves payroll issues and discrepancies as they arise
5. Assists in training new field and internal employees and provides ongoing support as needed
6. Helps maintain payroll systems and ensures accurate user training and operational procedures
7. Works with cross-functional teams and outside vendors to support process improvements and new initiatives
8. Ensure excellent customer service for team members and external parties in relation to payroll matters
9. Investigates and resolves discrepancies in payroll information in a timely manner
10. Performs analysis, generates reports, and assists the HR and finance teams with special projects
11. Performs other duties as assigned in a professional matter
Job Conditions
1. Position may be stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
2. Travel is required on occasion
Qualifications
1. Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred
2. Solid understanding of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal counts, and payroll taxes
3. Two years’ experience in payroll, preferably in the health care field
4. Experience working in a multi-state payroll environment is preferred
5. Knowledge of payroll taxes at federal, state, and local levels
6. Experience with ADP, Paycom, or UKG is a plus
7. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
8. Strong accuracy and attention to detail
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
10. The ability to prioritize

Annual Salary Range:
  • $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually
